About this Coffee

La Huerata hails from Finca La Bolsa — a coffee plantation located in the western highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The region is known for its high altitude, rainfall, lush shade and moderate temperatures which are needed to grow exceptional coffee. Finca La Bolsa was founded in 1958 by Jorge Vides, since then it's been handed down through three generations to Maria Elena and her son Renardo. The coffee cherries are processed in the traditional washed method and are then carefully sun-dried. The result is a transparent cup bursting of stone fruit flavours that are complemented by a rich brown sugar sweetness and crisp malic acidity.
