About this coffee

Cool temperatures and volcanic soils make for a coffee with great intensity and structure.

The Kagumoini Coffee Factory is way up there at about 1700 masl. There it processes coffee grown between the Western slopes of Mt Kenya and the upper plateau of the Aberdare (Nyandarua) mountain range. Most of the coffee comes from small family plots planted alongside the homes of the local farmers. The area has cool temperatures, red volcanic soils, rich in phosphorus. The soil with its good natural drainage helps create coffees with great intensity and structure.
